A rustic, contemporary and elegant stable yard studio apartment, which once served as a large stable block but now serves as a large light filled space with high ceilings and a mezzanine and open fireplace. Overlooking on one side a Provence inspired light filled courtyard garden and the other facing an organic walled kitchen garden supplying all the produce for the onsite Green Barn restaurant, these are all surrounded by the lush gardens of Burtown House & Gardens our family home since 1710. This can be booked with our 3 bedroom stable yard house to sleep up to 8. This studio apartment is great for short or longer stays, set amidst 12 acres of flower, woodland and kitchen gardens, with sculpture parks and meadow walks and Burtown House a 1710 Georgian Villa built by Quakers and having never been sold, is the perfect place to come and escape, relax, inspire, unwind and eat the very freshest seasonal organic produce which is all served up at our Green Barn Restaurant. Guests also have free 24/7 access to the gardens. The large super comfy four poster bed is located in the main high ceilingcelingliving space. There is a polished concrete stairs that leads to a mezzanine space with a working fireplace, sofa & armchair that is ideal for reading and relaxing. The space is full of large photographs taken by James and large shelves houseing a collection of interior and fashion magazines - this was once a photography studio. There are large blinds to control the light and privatize the space. There is a shower room with a strong shower. Although there is not a kitchen there is a fridge, toaster, kettle & Nespresso machine. Brunch is served from Wednesday - Sunday in our Green Barn restaurant which is the other side of our organic walled kitchen garden, There is a south facing sun filled terrace for outdoor dining should the sun shine. Gardens, Tennis Court, Sculpture Walks, Farm Walks, The Green Barn and much more There are always almost family members on the property at some point between the main house which is 100 meters away, or at Lesley Fennell’s house which is the other side of the courtyard. There are also staff members at the green barn and workmen on the farm. The place is never deserted. One hour from dublin and just off the motorway, you are surrounded by 12 acres of gardens and our family home since 1710, an old old Quaker house, as it has never been sold it retains an old world authentic feel, we are passionate about our food and so we have The Green Barn restaurant in our gardens serving seasonal organic produce. The interior spaces have been designed by james an interior photographer and Joanna a designer and chef have designed with the upmost detail and relaxed yet stylish look. Set amongst beautiful gardens, streams, woodland and a working farm with a strong emphasis on organic food production and beautiful surroundings.
