PICINISCO Picinisco is one of the beautiful hill top villages located in Val di Comino. Full of history, this village offers tourists and locals an opportunity to unwind and enjoy the stunning panorama of the whole of Val di Comino from the Piazza...all while sipping a coffee of course! The 'Piazza' is where you will find most locals...especially on a Sunday morning. A fabulous village with a breath-taking view... VAL DI COMINO TOWNS Val di Comino is full of mountainous villages and hidden treasures. Be sure to visit San Donato, Gallinaro, Settefrati (Sanctuary of the Madonna di Canneto is worth the trip!), Alvito, Casalattico and Casalvieri to fully appreciate Val di Comino's hidden treasures. ABRUZZO NATIONAL PARK The Abbruzzo National Park Park is one of modern Italy's proudest accomplishments. Why not make your way up to Monte Meta which, at 2241 metres, has for centuries been recognised as having the most spectacular views to finally enjoy lunch at Il Barracone at Prati di Mezzi. Walk, Ski or enjoy the unforgettable views... CASSINO Cassino, a busy city about 23km from Villa Latina, is great for shopping, enjoying the busy promenade and experiencing the exciting bars and night life. The city is best known as the site of the Abbey of Montecassino (pictured above) and the Battle of Monte Cassino during World War II, a must see when visiting the area. BEYOND THE VALLEY... If you are looking to experience the Italian culture further, a quick 25-30 mins car journey from Villa Latina will lead you to two beautiful towns Sora and Isola del Liri which both have many boutiques, bars, restaurants, promenades and an exciting night life for the young...and old. The beautiful waterfall situated just off the promenade at Isola del Liri is breathtaking! Want to surf as well as turf throughout your visit?
